Strong Starts for the Red Devils in 24-25 Season Opener

Pike Township, Indianapolis - The Pike Red Devils kick off the 2024-25 Swimming and Diving season with a pair of defeats against the perennial MIC power North Central High School Tuesday evening at the Pike Aquatic Center. The Lady Panthers defeated the Lady Red Devils (0-1) 137-43 in the dual, while the Men’s Team (0-1) kept the meet close, losing 95-85 to North Central at the end of the night. Four event wins highlight a great evening of competition for Pike: Individual Event Winners for the Red Devils Liam Garrity (Jr) - 200 Freestyle Leo Huynh (Sr) - 1m Diving Relay Event Winners for the Red Devils Boys 200 Freestyle Relay - Garrity, Sam Drlich (So), Abe Drlich (Sr), and Rowan Dazey (Jr) Boys 400 Freestyle Relay - Garrity, S. Drlich, A. Drlich, and Ro. Dazey “Comparing results from this meet one year ago, this Red Devil squad has demonstrated their desire to get better in each training session and competition. It is almost night and day different from the squad that started last season’s schedule; the growth of each individual and the whole team has been exciting for our swimming and diving community. We will continue to get better and the results will speak for themselves throughout the season” - Head Coach Charles Grace on this evening’s performances. Next week, the Red Devils will face off against MIC opponent Ben Davis and Danville Community High School mid week at Ben Davis High School, then turn their attention to the nine team Pike Invitational on Saturday morning. Swimming and Diving start at 10am on Saturday at the Pike Aquatic Center! GO PIKE!!!
