King and Michael Lead Devils to Fast Swims at Pike Invite

Pike Township, Indianapolis - The Pike Invitational brings a handful of the county and state’s best teams to the Pike Aquatic Center for a day of racing. Red Devils leave the invite with a team finish of 4th out of 9 teams for the Ladies (2-1), while the Men’s team (1-2) placed 5th of 9 teams. Our Lady Devils picked up two individual wins on the day: Kamaile King (So) in the 500 Freestyle and Angelina Michael (Fr) in the 50 Freestyle. Drlich, A. Drlich, Garrity “The collective improvement of this year’s Pike Invite results is a testament to the perseverance and integrity of this group. Both teams moved up two places each from last year’s teams; picking up two individual wins from our underclassmen along the way. The depth on our ladies side allows us to put together some very competitive relays against teams with State level experience.” - Head Coach Charles Grace. The upcoming week brings some familiar foes to tangle with the Red Devils. On Tuesday, sectional opponent Decatur Central makes a stop at the Pike Aquatic Center for a 6pm showdown. Thursday, the Devils will travel to the East Side to face off with MIC opponent Warren Central for another 6pm dual. GO PIKE!!!
